Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • the manuscript is the author's original work and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including the author's own previously published work;

  • the manuscript has been submitted only to Antropologia; it is not under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or in press or published elsewhere;

  • the manuscript has been written by using Microsoft Office, Open Office, RTF or Word Perfect;

  • the manuscript is 12 points single spaced typesetted in Times new Roman; all figures (images, graphs etc. are embedded in the text;

  • the manuscript follows the guidelines and references stlye which can be found here;

  • manuscripts submitted for peer-review should follow the guidelines for peer-review submissions. They should check that:
    - Authors have removed their names from the text of the file, using various strings (in the bibliography and notes) instead of the author's name, the title of the article, etc.
    - In Microsoft Office documents, identification elements in the file properties (File menu in MSWord) should also be removed.
    - With PDFs, author names should also be removed from the document properties in the File menu of Adobe Acrobat.

Author Guidelines

Antropologia welcomes submissions of individual articles and special issues. Articles should not exceed 40.000 characters including spaces (that also includes title, key words, footnotes, bibliography and abstract) and should be accompanied by a 250 word abstract and the author's bio-note. Proposals for Special Issues should be submitted by the Lead Guest Editor of the Special Issue and should include the following: a suggested title; proposed Aims and Scope, giving an overview of the Special Issue’s intended focus and a list of the topics to be covered; a list of contributors including their names, emails, affiliations, and a short biography; an abstract of no more than 250 words for each contribution included in the Special Issue. Special Issues should not exceed 280.000 characters (about 6 contributions and an introduction).

 

All proposals are subject to approval by the journal following a discussion of the proposed Special Issue among the journal’s Editorial Board. If approved, the Editorial Board will manage the peer-review process. Book Reviews

Antropologia publishes reviews of books, films and documentaries. The reviews must be minimum 5000 and maximum 8000 characters long. They are expected to:

- provide a reasoned synopsis of the book/film/documentary
- provide a specific view on the chosen item
- highlight what is relevant and/or outstanding and what is weak

In order to offer you the customized services provided by our web site, Ledizioni Srl as Data Controller must process some identification data necessary for the provision of the Service.

 

A) Browsing data (log files, server logs, clickstream). Moreover, your browser automatically transmits to this Site some of these anonymous data, e.g. the address of the site you have just left, the address of your Internet Protocol (IP address), the version of the browser used by your computer)

 


B ) Cookies (small text strings sent by a server to a Web client (usually a browser) and then sent back from the client to the server (without being modified) each time the client accesses the same portion of the same domain.

 


C) Personal data

The personal data you provide will be recorded and stored on protected electronic media and treated with appropriate security measures, including by associating and integrating them with other databases.

 

The data and cookies received from you shall be processed by Ledizioni Srl exclusively with the methods and procedures necessary to provide you with the services you requested.

 

As well as for purposes connected with the implementation of the following fulfilments, relating to legislative or contractual obligations:

I. Compulsory fulfilments required by law in the tax and accounting field;

II. After-sales service;

III. Litigation management;

IV. Customer management.

 

The Data Controller also informs you that any failure to provide, or incorrect communication of, any of the mandatory information may make it impossible for the Data Controller to guarantee the adequacy of the processing itself.

The data will not be disseminated and stored by the hosting provider but may be communicated, where necessary for the provision of the service, to the companies that perform tasks of a technical or organisational nature on our behalf that are instrumental to the provision of the services requested with the guarantee and protection of the rights of the data subject.

Only with your express consent, moreover, the data may be used to carry out statistical analyses, market surveys and to send commercial information on the products and promotional initiatives of Ledizioni Srl and/or of third party companies that will process the data as autonomous Data Controllers) responding to your specific interests.

At any time, you may re-read the information notice and, if necessary, modify the consents previously provided, check and/or change the status of active services.

 


The provision of data is optional, except for those indicated as mandatory in order to be able to access the services offered. You have the right to know, at any time, what your data is and how it is used. You also have the right to have them updated, supplemented, corrected or deleted, to have them blocked and to object to their processing. We remind you that these rights are provided for in Art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.

In accordance with the regulations in force, we will therefore ask you to express your consent for the processing of your data. It is understood that the consent refers to the processing of data except for those strictly necessary for the operations and services requested by you, at the time of your registration as for these activities your consent is not necessary.
