Ethnography and contemporary dwelling practices: an introduction

This special issue of Antropologia presents ten contributions which, starting from specific ethnographies conducted in Europe, investigate some forms of contemporary dwelling. Turning an ethnographic gaze towards "near" urban contexts is certainly not new; for a long time now, even on the Italian scene, the presence of anthropologists in the cities has been consolidated.
