This article analyses the impact of indigenous schooling among the Xacriabá in Brazil, focusing on educational innovations and community development perspectives. Through a look at socio-economic and pedagogical aspects, it emerges how the introduction of the school has brought about significant changes in the daily lives of the Xacriabá. The challenges and opportunities related to the training of indigenous teachers and the involvement of local communities in the management and support of the school are also highlighted. In the light of these analyses, questions emerge about the responsibilities and prospects for development related to indigenous schooling, inviting a critical debate on school culture and its impact on the construction of identity and future perspectives within indigenous communities.
