Abstract

With 2023, the variables introduced during the pandemic period are definitively overcome, and the analysis of the trend in accidents and occupational diseases can resume. An initial assessment highlights the return of a positive trend in the reduction of harmful events, including in the construction sector, which has always been one of the areas most affected by accidents and occupational illnesses.
Nevertheless, the still high number of harmful events and fatal cases continues to underline the need for increasingly effective prevention measures, adapted to the rapid changes in the world of work.
