L'Allenamento "Invisibile": La Mente nell'Hockey su Ghiaccio

Abstract

Il capitolo analizza l'importanza delle abilità psicologiche nell'hockey su ghiaccio, uno sport caratterizzato da alta velocità, contatto fisico intenso e complesse dinamiche di squadra, cruciali in vista delle Olimpiadi Invernali di Milano-Cortina 2026. Attraverso una rassegna della letteratura, sono state identificate le abilità mentali richieste e le tecniche di allenamento psicologico pertinenti, basate su studi specifici sull'hockey su ghiaccio. Le abilità chiave includono il decision-making sotto pressione, l'attenzione, la resilienza, la gestione dello stress, la coesione di squadra, l'imagery e la gestione dell'errore. Le tecniche discusse con supporto empirico nel contesto dell'hockey comprendono il training della percezione visiva, il neurofeedback/biofeedback, l'Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) e lo sviluppo della leadership. La preparazione mentale è indispensabile per la performance d'eccellenza nell'hockey su ghiaccio, contribuendo al massimo potenziale degli atleti. Nonostante i progressi, la ricerca in questo specifico campo è ancora limitata. Si evidenziano limiti quali campioni ridotti e mancanza di studi randomizzati controllati (RCT), suggerendo futuri sviluppi verso studi longitudinali, l'uso di misure oggettive, approcci multidisciplinari e lo sviluppo di strumenti di valutazione specifici, al fine di creare programmi di allenamento mentale più efficaci per hockeisti resilienti e performanti.
