Abstract

This study constitutes an approach to the representational modes of Jewish women in two works by Cervantes: The Puppet Show of Wonders and The Trials of Persiles and Sigismunda. Our analysis intends to reveal the uniqueness of this representation in the context of the literature of the period, addressing at first several paradigmatic works of the Spanish Golden Age, in order to finally focus on the two aforementioned works by Cervantes.
