The ability to produce utterances which are pragmatically adequate to the context during the process of Second Language acquisition is one of the parameters to evaluate the learner’s linguistic and communicative competence. This paper deals with fronted constituents which can function as focusing mechanisms, in two spoken corpora of L2 Italian and L2 Spanish with the aim of analyzing their presence during the acquisitional
process of these languages.
