This issue of Cuadernos AISPI focuses on one of the most neglected fields of contemporary literary studies: that of the epistolary. Almost two decades after the first serious calls for attention in this field, we consider it very timely to offer new research and letters that exemplify the strength and validity of these studies and their essential role in the knowledge of literary history and the works of their protagonists.
