The article studies the correspondence between Víctor Said Armesto and Miguel de Unamuno, that covers the years 1897-1914. Poet, scholar and University professor of Galician-Portuguese literature, Víctor Said was one of the most important intellectuals of his generation; however, his work sank into oblivion, perhaps due to his early death. The aim of the essay is to investigate on his friendship with Unamuno, whom Víctor Said considered as his teacher, and with whom he shared literary interests and passions. The themes of the letters are various, from linguistic and literary questions to personal circumstances.
