The formulation of grammatical discourse in the dictionaries of the Royal Spanish Academy (1726-1829)

Abstract

This work analyzes the configuration of grammatical discourse in the lexicographic repertoires of the RAE in the period between the publication of the first volume of the DAut (1726) and the end of the works –unpublished– prepared for the second edition of the work (1829). For this aim, the information provided in the successive editions of the DRAE (1780-1832), the GRAE (1771-1854) and the academic records corresponding to the indicated period has also been taken into account.
