The treatment of migratory movements in the press of Spanish-speaking countries in 2021

This paper analyses news pieces and comments on migratory movements that appeared in the main newspapers of the Spanish-speaking press in the year 2021. The methodology research is based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of journalistic texts obtained from the database Factiva®. Conclusions allow us to establish which migratory events captured the attention of the analysed media, how they were linguistically developed, as well as what other events were left out of informative interest.
