Abstract

The paper reconstructs the contents and the methodological scope of the series of essays (twenty-three) that compose the posthumous miscellany (2018) of the illustrious Italian philologist Giuseppe Mazzocchi. The works reviewed matured under the author’s pen over a period of thirty years (1990-2017) and constitute an unsurpassed example of how textual philology receives its most noble application through the fusion of methodological rigour and intellectual acumen.
